We had such a great time at lunch with Glenda (GigiHawaii) and David, Marianna (Hattie's Web) and Terry, Henry and his son, Chip. Glenda and David hosted a fabulous luncheon before their outing to the Opera. Art and I stayed home to watch the Oscars.
I'm actually more introverted and have the Briggs Myers test to prove it. Still, we were once again thrilled to meet new, friendly and interesting people. We already knew Glenda and David but had never met Marianna in person. Henry does not have a blog. He should. They're all such brainy people, but it's terrific that they don't intimidate you. Everyone was so down-to-earth and friendly. Within a few minutes I felt like I'd know them forever. Never mind the fact that I got the time wrong and we arrived over a half hour late. Oops! They're also all very forgiving people.
Sorry, but Art is not in this photo because he acted as the photographer.
Art and Terry have so much in common they could have sat together for hours more talking about their climbs up Kilimanjaro and Mt. Fuji and their various races. They even have the same mustache, for goodness sake!
Glenda set out an amazing buffet and frankly, I was still not hungry at 5:00 even though mom had dinner ready downstairs.
Being bloggers, when our plates were filled, we all whipped out our cameras and took a photo.
Thank you, Glenda and David for the scrumptious luncheon! Thank you Marianna and Terry for the Big Island treat!
Thank you, everybody for a lovely day.

Wonderful .Great to see you all have so much fun together . Read Gigi's new post just an hour back .
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard about photographing the food. Why do we bloggers find that such an important thing? LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful time, glad you enjoyed, Kay.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't guess that you are introverted, all good, I am too.
How wonderful! And I'm so glad to have pictures of everybody. The food looked so enticing, I would have expected nothing less from Gigi! :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a great day, wonderful get together, lovely food as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to meet other bloggers. When I meet another blogger I am always surprised at how much we have in common. It looks like you had a lot of fun with everyone, cameras and all.
ReplyDeleteAw, how nice! I like your take on the same event! Lol. Why didn't you take a picture of your wonderful dessert, too??? As I said, if the recipe is EASY, I want it. The flan was so refreshing. And, yes, Art and Terry hit it off very well. Imagine climbing those mountains. It just boggles my mind.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to get together with fellow bloggers! Looks like a great day for all of you! Hope your week is off to a good start, Kay! Enjoy!

Gigi is great planning these kind of events. It takes talent to put together an event like that, a get-to-know you party. Glad it was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI want to come to lunch too...lol! Looks tasty and great location. I need to return again, maybe for our 20th wedding anniversary next year?
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm glad you all got together and did this.

ReplyDeleteThe desert looked a bit like tapioca pudding. Glad you had a good time! I don't catch the "introverted" part; must've mis-scored your Myers-Briggs. DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteWe had so much fun meeting you and Art, and I hope you will come by and visit us next time you are on the Big Island. Up for a hike in Volcanoes Park, maybe?
ReplyDeleteHattie: We'd love to come visit you and Terry. We really enjoyed talking to you both yesterday. Who would have thought that Terry and Art would have so much in common? :-)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have a blogger's meeting! I know from Kay Davies, whom I met near the windmills, that she and you also met!
ReplyDeleteNext week I will meet Dina in Jerusalem and she will show me the sights of Jerusalem and more. Very exciting.
