This is the first time I am celebrating my blogaversary on the correct date. I nervously started this blog on a Leap Year on February 29th, 2008.
I have since written 1,351 posts. I can hardly believe it. It's now become my consuming hobby and my connection to a cyber family I've gotten to truly care about.
This is an especially HAPPY day because my son, Jonathan and his Sarah are coming today from Albuquerque for a 3 week visit. It's been almost two years since we've last seen Sarah and a year since Jon surprised and visited with us at Yellowstone last year.
Oh happy day!

ReplyDeleteHOORAY for year #4! I'm glad to have found your wonderful life in the midst of the big world.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family! It's okay to skip some days from your bloggie-buddies while you hang out with Jon and Sarah. Just let us know if you'll be gone long, so we don't send the blogger brigade out looking for you.

Everybody: Thanks so much for your kind words and being my cyber friends. You're what keeps me motivated.
ReplyDeleteLin: It's kind of you to say that. It's all been a 2-way...100-way thing. We all helped each other.
Betty Wiens: Actually, I usually postdate ahead of time (I try to have about 3-4 ready to go at any time) so that I don't have the pressure to post. They're scheduled to go off at around Midnight-2:00 AM every day.
Gigihawaii: I just checked my Archive. Looks like I was trying to post everyday since the middle 2010 and got serious about it in August of that year.
DrumMajor: I actually already have about 8 or so posts ready to go up for when they are here so I don't feel pressured. Ever since I started post-dating ahead of time, my blogging life is quite a bit easier.
Happy blogiversary. It shows that people are still into blogs. Not everybody tweets or is it tweeters. "This is my 2nd Anniversary on Tweeter and this is my 7 million tweet."
ReplyDeleteI'm still aglow from our happy event at Gigi's.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with your son and friend!
Happy Blogiversary, Kay! And what a way to celebrate!! I know just how excited you are to have Jon and Sarah coming for a good, long visit! Wonderful!! I'm so excited for you! Enjoy every moment!

Hello Kay,
ReplyDeleteIt was great to meet you and Art, such pleasant people! Mahalo nui loa.
This is the first time I have posted on your blog and it so happens it's your 4th Blogaversary. At first I thought you had written Blogaslavery. Just kidding.
Albuquerque was huge in my life. It is a very cosmopolitan place with plenty of artists and writers. I always feel that I have lived in the two most interesting states: New Mexico and OHIO, oops, I mean Hawaii. :-) When my wife got fed up with living on the mainland and wanted to return to her home of Hawaii, she made the joke that there was only one thing she liked about Ohio--it has a Japanese name: Ohio gozai mash'ta.
Great comments from you about Santorum and his unbelievable misunderstanding of the value of higher education. He is seriously warped.
Congratulations! Mahalo!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary and you should be proud. 1351 is impressive but that you have remained interesting through all those is phenomenal.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary..it has been wonderful to meet so many cyberfriends because of your blog.. to many more years blogging Kay
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your important anniversary. Daily posting is a big challenge, and you're doing a great job of meeting it.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your visitors!
Hank: We loved meeting you and Chip. You sure do write fantastic comments. Thanks so much for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI'll miss being able to visit New Mexico since our son is now moving to the East coast... farther away from us, I fear.
Happy belated birthday wishes to your blog. Musings has a life of its own.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think our blogs own us.
Enjoy the kids!
Congratulations Kay, and I know what a fabulous time you're going to have with your family.
