Pandora Radio

Have you heard of Pandora?  It's a free Internet radio where you can select the sort of music you prefer.  I saw a post about it on someone's blog a long time ago and enjoyed using it.  Then I forgot about it and rediscovered it a couple of days ago.  I play it in the background on my computer while I work.  It's great!

The music makes me move while I stand in front of my computer.  Granted, sometimes it distracts me, but it makes me happy.  You might like it too.

I think Art is wondering why there's so much Josh Groban suddenly coming from my room.

  1. Enjoy your uplifting music, Kay!
I just clicked on Pandora and got this message:
"We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative."

    Oh well . . .

  3. Pandora has been around for a very long time. I remember getting it or having it on some of my computer posts when it wasn't all that attractive as a widget. I see it is still around but have, so far, not bothered getting it.

There was another place, not Pandora, where you can pick out the songs or era or theme you like and put it on your blog like a widget but I never used it much either. I see it on different blogs as a black widget with a list of songs.

Most people only stay on any blog a few seconds. If they leave a comment, like I am doing, then the stay might last a minute but nobody I know of ever stays long enough to hear all the songs on the lists I have seen on some blogs.

  4. You probably read about Pandora on my blog, Kay. I wrote a post about it some time ago. I used to listen to it every day and night, but lately I find myself preferring silence. Because of this preference, David watches TV with headphones on.

  10. Dina: I'm so sorry you can't get it in Israel. Someday?

Gigi and Mare: I have this feeling it was you first, Mare. Then I recall Gigi wrote about it too. The music does force? encourage? entice? me to move and that is a good thing.

  12. Sorry about that, Christine. Dina says people outside the U.S. are not able to access the site. Doggone it.

  13. Great info, I love the site. I must be living in a cave, haven't heard of it before. I sometimes listen to NPR online, but this one had not crossed my radar.

  14. We have an awesome community radio station here so that's always my first choice for music. However, last Sunday night when Son #3 was here we decided to listen to one of his Pandora channels. It was pretty darn good!
