Here are a couple of sunrise photos as we flew into Salt Lake City, Utah. We were awed by the snow capped mountains, and Salt Lake that looked like it was being iced over.

I wanted to take photos when we flew into Chicago as the sun set but had to put our cameras away for the descent. For even more incredible skies around the world, click onto Sky Watch Friday.
The sky looks better when I get up the past couple of days..Oh yes we can....
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous: I've never been to that part of the world but it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou've reminded me to go book my seat for my flight on Tuesday, to be sure I get a window!
Thanks for the lovely photos Kay, and have a safe flight home again when your visit's over--

Your photos are absolutely beautiful! Isn't the world lovely when you're high above it?
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful! I lived in Salt Lake City for a year some time ago and it happened to be one of those years when there was lots of snow and the mountains were/are gorgeous! Thanks for for sharing, Kay!
ReplyDeleteYou obviously landed from the north, circling over the Great Salt Lake flats. Depending on the wind, sometimes planes land from the south.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice that you took some pictures. Funny that someone who lives in Hawaii would post pictures of Salt Lake City, and I am in Salt Lake, but my last SkyWatch post was on a plane from South Carolina.
I love these sky shots, Kay.
ReplyDeleteAloha-
I have never been to Utah but your photos make me want to change that!
ReplyDeleteSee you Tuesday!
Nice captures. I've never put my camera away for descent. That would be disheartening!
ReplyDeletewonderful captures.
ReplyDeletei live in utah and we have gorgeous snow capped mountains that turn green in summer and autumn colors in fall. probably most beautiful scenery is our red rock areas. happy trip home-we miss hawaii we were there for the first time last jan at this time and loved the climate. aloha!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos. And to be up there in it :-)!

Awesome views.
ReplyDeleteI've learned how to reopen the window shade for more photos after the flight attendant comes around demanding everyone shut them. Are they crazy? Miss the clouds at sunset?!
Looks like a straight rainbow, very nice!
ReplyDeleteKay - referring back to your comment on Isaac's mask - it came from the local Democratic club or committee. His shirt said "Somos el cambio" or "We are the change."
ReplyDeleteWow.. that is indeed great!
ReplyDeleteMy SWF photos are here and here. Hop on by if you have the time. Happy weekends.
The layers of colour really shine through. Love your header shot too.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots, thanks for posting these.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of our big blue earth.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos from above.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. These are incredible views! I haven't seen much of Salt Lake City...but my sister, Nonie, used to live there. She loves Utah.
ReplyDeleteLovely captures. I love shots from planes. The layers of color here are almost like sedentary rock. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos taken from the plane. I seldom have luck with such pictures when I try to take them. I've shared SKY collages at Sacred Ruminations and Happily Retired Gal today with some Haiku as usual.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Lovely piccies Kay
ReplyDeleteLove these photos, simply beautiful. The 3rd one is my favorite.
