Sky Watch Friday: The First Day of 2009

It must be the firecracker pollutants in the air but the sunrise that greeted the first morning of the new year was quite colorful. My husband took the photo. I was still asleep since the fireworks kept me up pretty late.

    Can't beat that.
But you are losing Obama and we are anxiously awaiting his arrival in D.C. and Northern Virginia.

  7. A Death In The Blogger World

A blogger friend lost her husband suddenly last Sunday night. I thought it would be nice to go and leave a message for her on her blog...You may know her as 'mommanator' at grannies ramblings

  16. They say that the most dramatic sunsets/rises are caused by pollution. This is glorious, though, all that colour..
Happy New Year to you too. Hope it's a good one.

I love the photo in your banner, Kay! I think it is so peaceful! I was so content with my plain and simple "no banner", but am thrilled with the change. We see so many different things in the blogs we visit. I love the inspiration!
