On to Sapporo in Hokkaido!
Hi everybody,
I gave the impression that we were returning to the States. Nope.
This is only a third of our trip. We'll be leaving for Hokkaido now on the Shinkansen and are anticipating an 8 hour ride. There will be no one to help us there. We'll be on our own driving on the opposite side of the street! Aaaaack!
Smile...
ReplyDeleteSee You soon...
This sounds like it will be an exciting adventure. Keep us updated. Lisa
ReplyDeleteI thought that vacation was too short, glad we are in for more sights and photos of Japan. It was funny when my son who lived 2 years in Japan as a missionary came home and I let him drive my car for the first time. He did a right turn into the opposite lane, I yelled real fast and he corrected. That was scary. Good luck with driving on the wrong side. Looking forward to more touring. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on the last few days and loving every minute of it. I honestly never thought I'd have any interest in traveling to Japan. I was was sadly mistaken. It is a beautiful and fascinating place. That could quite possibly be at least partially due to your being such a great tour guide. And to the fact that you have a large, loving family. This has been a real treat.
ReplyDeleteHowever, those toilet paper sticks make me cringe. And oatmeal and onions?? Surely that's got to be something gone terribly wrong in the translation, right?
Well, goodnight, Kay. I anxiously await your (our) next adventure.
I'm back for a night and catching up again. What a trip you are having, and so many lovely meals with family!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I just know you all will be up to the challenges ahead. You always are.
ReplyDeleteCan you show us pictures from inside the bullet train? Eight hours! In eight hours our train would be out of little Israel already. hehe
Keep having fun.
Can't wait to see the sights of Hokkaida through your lens!
