Sky Watch Friday

I haven't been able to take many photos in Hawaii yet. We've just had too much to do. However, for Sky Watch Friday I just stuck my camera out of our second floor window early this morning to take a photo up the mountain and down toward Pearl Harbor. We're now living on the island of Oahu in a town called Pearl City.

For more great Sky Watch Friday photos, join us at Welcome to Wiggers World and meet our very wonderful and most cordial host, Tom Wigley.

  2. Looks lovely. You must be on a hill to have such a view.

  3. Pretty view of the Pearl City skyline, Kay. I'm eager to see more photos of Oahu, but I know you must be overwhelmed at the moment with settling in.

  4. Woohoo--Oahu!! You can see the sea from your window?! Wow.
Strange for me to think of Pearl Harbor as a real, normal place near you, and not something only in the history books.
Sometimes I wish we could pick up Israel and plop it down as a peaceful island in the Pacific...

  7. I would think you could just point the camera in Hawaii and push the shutter and come up with a slice of paradise. I like what you got but the telephone pole or transformer isn't that cool. LOL

I think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

  11. You are a trooper. You make a committment to skywatch, and you keep it even when it isn't convenient. No wonder you have so many friends.
As for that power pole, I often wish for a chain saw to remove the poles and wirs that spoil my photos, especially from the Whidbey Island cabin deck. Grrr.

  13. It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions
