I haven't been able to take many photos in Hawaii yet. We've just had too much to do. However, for Sky Watch Friday I just stuck my camera out of our second floor window early this morning to take a photo up the mountain and down toward Pearl Harbor. We're now living on the island of Oahu in a town called Pearl City.

Beautiful sky watch photos :)
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice to be in Hawaii :)
Looks lovely. You must be on a hill to have such a view.
ReplyDeletePretty view of the Pearl City skyline, Kay. I'm eager to see more photos of Oahu, but I know you must be overwhelmed at the moment with settling in.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo--Oahu!! You can see the sea from your window?! Wow.
ReplyDeleteStrange for me to think of Pearl Harbor as a real, normal place near you, and not something only in the history books.
Sometimes I wish we could pick up Israel and plop it down as a peaceful island in the Pacific...
You do have some nice views. Congrats on your new home. Looking forward to more photos from Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for your sweet comment on my site.
Soft and pretty sky! Quite a different shot of Oahu!
ReplyDeleteI would think you could just point the camera in Hawaii and push the shutter and come up with a slice of paradise. I like what you got but the telephone pole or transformer isn't that cool. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.
I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

Very wonderful pictures! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy SWF photo is posted HERE.
Hope you could stop by, too. Thanks!
You are a trooper. You make a committment to skywatch, and you keep it even when it isn't convenient. No wonder you have so many friends.
ReplyDeleteAs for that power pole, I often wish for a chain saw to remove the poles and wirs that spoil my photos, especially from the Whidbey Island cabin deck. Grrr.
I will start by thanking you for the time and effort you put into Sky Watch is really appreciated by man.. those that visit and leave comment and the many other that just visit.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sky Watch
Tom
It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
ReplyDeleteWe were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!
